Yamaguchi Prefecture

Surrounded by the sea on three sides at the westernmost tip of Honshu (Japan's main island), Yamaguchi is known for its pivotal role in shaping modern Japan during the Meiji Restoration, as well as its rich natural landscape and local traditions that continue to thrive today. In this selection, enjoy both sweet and savory okashi (snacks) made with regional specialties like natsu mikan (summer oranges) and lotus root, along with a glass handmade in Hagi by local artisans.
